WEDDINGS, HATS AND RED CARPETS
What a week .... two red carpet events and I even wore a hatinator...all the rage at weddings apparently. After last week’s awards ceremony for BNI I headed off to the New Forest for my best friend’s son’s wedding.
It was also an excuse for a university friends get together, none of us having had to be a MOB or MOG before (mother of the bride or groom) .... moral support. What a glorious setting ... inspiration for a future painting perhaps.
Red carpet event schedule completed; it was time to go back to work.
On return it was full steam ahead with preparation for the big ‘C’.
There are several commissions pending, plus lots of stock to be delivered to retail outlets.
This weekend I completed a pet portrait wedding gift and I am about to embark on a painting of my friend’s father’s favourite bandstand, as a 90th birthday gift.
I also took delivery of four exciting new coaster designs to add to my range :
The theme of silhouette paintings is linked to a forthcoming postcard exhibition being held in The Line gallery in Linlithgow.
I was invited to submit some A5 size original paintings and decided to experiment with silhouettes. Please pop in to support the exhibition which runs from 2nd to 26th of November.
This week I will also be taking on the role of Vice President of our BNI chapter. We are a small group looking to grow our membership, as this will increase our opportunity to access each other’s wider referral networks.
If you would like to attend our Thursday morning 6.45am meeting at the Leapark hotel in Grangemouth, as my guest, just to see what referral networking it is all about, please get in touch. You might even decide to join to grow your business.
You would be most welcome.
